Nursery

Our nursery is a family-oriented ministry that provides a safe, secure and loving environment for children birth through three years old during our worship services. Tender, loving caregivers and volunteer Bible teachers help children understand that God made them and loves them. Through Bible stories, music, playtime and crafts, children are introduced to Jesus as someone who wants to be their best Friend forever!

Frequently Asked Questions

What to Bring

  • 2 or 3 disposable diapers (no cloth diapers please)
  • Pacifier or other item your child needs for security.
  • A complete change of clothes in case your child would require that.
  • Birth-23 months:  bottle of milk, formula (pre-mixed), juice, or water
  • 2 to 3 Years: sippy cup

Please label all items with your child's first and last name before arriving at your child's class. This helps us keep track of your child's items.

When you Arrive

Our nursery is located in Room 307 in Building C, and parking is located next to this building for parents' convenience. Please pick up a parent pager and sign in your child. The parent pager has an identifying number on it. If you need to return to your child's classroom, you will be paged. The pager will vibrate, so please hold or wear the pager at all times. Present the pager upon return to your child's classroom and then we will return your child to you. A child will not be released to a parent without presentation of the assigned pager. A preschool staff member will direct you to the age-appropriate classroom. A leader will meet you at the door to receive your child and any other necessary items. Please check in and note any information that will help in caring for your child such as feeding times, sleeping times, allergies and special needs.

Snacks

Snacks are provided for the children once they graduate to the 1-year old classroom. If your child has any allergies please inform the leader when you check your child into their classroom.

Curriculum

We believe our littlest ones can learn! Laying Biblical foundations in a child's life are most important and our volunteer teachers take this responsibility very seriously. Your child will enjoy experiences that allow them to reinforce each lesson's Bible truth and life application.

Saying Good-bye

After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for worship or Sunday School. As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time. Our leaders will immediately try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return after the worship service and Sunday School is completed. However, if your child cries for an extended period of time of 10 minutes, we will page you.

Pickup Procedures

Your child's leader will expect a parent to drop off and pick up your child unless special instructions are given at check-in. Please have the parent pager ready to return to the leader at the classroom door. The leader will then return your child to you. Please do not send anyone under the age of 17 years of age to pick up your child. Please make sure that all your child's personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises. Lost & found items will be kept for a short time.
